

Born in Little Rock on Feb. 6, 1925, she lived in Hot Springs almost her entire life. She graduated from Hot Springs High School and attended then-Garland County Community College and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
She was a member and past president of the Hot Springs Emblem Club.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Ockert Jr. of Jonesboro and Ken Browning of Camdenton, Mo.; five grandchildren, Mrs. Toni Patton of Bentonville, Lori Gardner of Richmond, Va., Toby Edwards of Hot Springs, Kim Stinson of Bismarck and Michael Browning of Camdenton; a special granddaughter-in-law, Vicky Edwards of Hot Springs, who was her primary caregiver for the past three years; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Opal Schleifstein; her husband, Harry R. Browning; a sister, Rose Mary Ayala; a daughter, Linda Edwards; and a grandson, Oscar J. Sabin.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs, with the Rev. John S. Polk, minister of visitation for the First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs, officiating. Visitation will precede the service, and burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rick Patton, Morgan Patton, Raylee Edwards, Ryan Robinson, Brian Stinson and Cole Smoke.
