

His unique wit and humor will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was born September 2, 1933, in Seattle, Washington, to the late Irvin & Ada May (Green) Troyer, Sr. After high school, he entered the U.S.A.F. stationed in Biloxi and Greenville Air Force Base as a radar technician. This is where he met his wife, Mavis Smith. They were married in May of 1959. They were married for 58 years until she passed in 2017. After military discharge, they moved back to Seattle, where he finished his bachelor's degree in education while working as a deputy sheriff and a volunteer firefighter in Washington. They moved to Hot Springs in 1977. They then decided to adventure to Alaska to finish their careers in education. During the summer months, he drove a tour bus all while teaching drivers ED. After ten years in Alaska, they both retired from teaching and moved back to Arkansas to be closer to family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis "Mig" Jaunice Troyer; brothers Philip Troyer, Harold Kipperberg & his wife Mae, and Victor Kipperberg; sister, June Manchester Hollenbeak & her husband Derl; Sisters-in-law Winona Smith Colbert & husband Jack and Ivonia Smith; brother-in-law Philip Arguello.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Larry & his wife, Shelly Tooman Troyer. Sister-in-law Barbara Troyer; Brother-in-law Dwight Smith; sister-in-law Joyce Smith Arguello; sister-in-law Naomi Smith; Granddaughters Leslie Troyer and Dr. Hannah Troyer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Lance Arguello, Derek Arguello, Kade Arguello, Eddie Livingston, Cody Livingston, and Blake Livingston.
Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Smith, Terry Smith, Dale Arbour, Darren Arbour, Charles Fitts, Robert Arguello, Larry Daigle and Dan Kipperberg.
Graveside's funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hot Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor Lance Arguello.
