He was a retired auditor for Gulf Oil, a proud WWII veteran, and a survivor of Pearl Harbor.
J.W. loved to read, especially his Bible and was a devoted Sunday school teacher for many years. He also loved playing board games, sailing, and taking cruises.
J.W. is survived by daughter Connie (Don) Roller, son Les (Karen) Childs, five grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be Saturday, September 19th at 10 am in the choir room of First Baptist Church with Dr. John McCallum officiating.
A reception in J.W.’s honor will follow at the church. Memorials may be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church, Hot Springs.
