

James "Jimmy" Denton, age 70, of Hot Springs, AR died February 9, 2024. He was born to the late David and Nellie Ruth Denton. Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Hot Springs and graduated from Fountain Lake School. He worked locally at Terminix and the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center.
Jimmy desired to live his faith in Jesus Christ. As his health permitted he participated in turn with Promise Keepers, the Christian Motorcyclists Association, and the Garland County Jail Ministries. He enjoyed being a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class of the First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, brothers Danny and Larry, sister Jonelle Turner, and their step father Jim Lindsey. He is survived by his wife Joyce whom he called the love of his life.
Jimmy was a compassionate man who walked his faith and who loved bringing hope to others in recovery. Isaiah 40:13 was a favorite Bible verse, "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."
There will be a graveside service held at Crestview Cemetery on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 9:30am. A Celebration of Life service will be held at First United Methodist Church at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
