

LeMoyne Francis Truesdell of Hot Springs Arkansas, passed away on July, 6 2025. LeMoyne was born on August 11, 1934 in Rush City, Minnesota, to Harold Truesdell and Mildred Truesdell. Upon the premature death of his father, he spent his early years on his grandparent’s farm, outside of Rush City, until about the age of 8 years old when he and his mother relocated to Lawndale, California. In California, his mother met and married Vance Paschal who was a native of Luray, Kansas. Growing up in southern California, LeMoyne was active in the Boy Scouts of America, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of the varsity football team at Inglewood High School. While in High School he also met the “Girl Next Door”, Sharon Dee Riaff, who he later married and they shared three children. LeMoyne was a career Naval Aviator who rose to the rank of Captain before retiring in 1982. During his naval career he flew multiple aircraft including the A-1 Skyraider, C-2 Greyhound, and A-4 Skyhawk. Following his career in the Navy, he joined General Dynamics in San Diego, California. Upon his retirement from General Dynamics, he and Sharon relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. There, LeMoyne joined the Civil Air Patrol as a pilot and was involved in many training missions, search and rescue operations and blood deliveries from Las Vegas to the many remote hospitals in the vast rural areas of Nevada. Following his wife Sharon’s death in 2004, he married Connie A. McKee of Hot Springs, Arkansas. They lived happily together in Hot Springs, until Connie’s passing in February 2025.
LeMoyne was predeceased in death by his parents Harold Truesdell & Mildred Paschal; his half-brother Michael Paschal and stepfather, Vance Paschal; his former wives, Sharon Truesdell, mother of his children, and Connie Truesdell. He leaves behind his daughter Julie Truesdell (Diane) of Edgecomb, Maine, son James Truesdell (Sharon) of Stillwater, Oklahoma, son Jeffery Truesdell (Lisa) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, grandsons Steven Truesdell of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and David Truesdell (Lauren) of Gypsum, Colorado and great grandson Micah Conrad Truesdell of Gypsum, Colorado.
Services will be held on Saturday July 12th. Visitation will be at 2:30 followed by the service at 3:00, at Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wright Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas, 71913. In lieu of flowers you can make donations to your favorite charity in the name of LeMoyne F. Truesdell.
