Louis Oswald Jr.

Louis (Louie) Oswald, Jr., passed away on January 28, 2026. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 26, 1941, to parents Louis, Sr. & Mary Lou (Hart) Oswald. Louis is predeceased by his parents, by his former wife Diane, by his 2nd wife Katherine, sister Rose Mary Grimes Pultz, brother in laws Robert Grimes and Tony Pultz. Louis survived by his two sons, Fred (Beth) and Carl (Janette) and sister Carolyn Oswald.

Louie went to grade school in Little Rock and Pine Bluff then later graduated from Batesville High School. Louie then went to Christian Brothers College in Memphis, TN where he got his BSEE and was Cum Laude. He then went to Notre Dame Graduate School where he got his MSEE (Electrical Engineering) Degree. His first job was at Boeing in Seattle, WA

Louie married twice and had two sons, Fred and Carl, with his first wife. Louie lived in CA for five years and then moved to Arlington, Texas where he married his second wife Katherine. Upon retirement as a contract electrical engineer in 2007 Louie moved to Hot Springs to be closer to his sisters. He traveled to the Holy Land in 2011, where he walked where Jesus walked. He visited where Jesus was born, the Temple where Jesus preached and saw Calvary where Jesus died. He also got to ride on a camel while he was there. Louis loved to read and has every Louis L'Amour book and has read each one a dozen times.

A Rosary will be held at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, to begin at 9:00am. The visitation will be from 9:30am to 10:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow.
