August 11, 1952 – April 18, 2026
Sandra Craig, 73, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was tragically taken from this life on April 18, 2026, and now rests in eternal peace in the Kingdom of Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, a woman of faith, and someone who dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work in both the medical field and community services.
She began her career with Community Services Office in the late 1970s and early 1980s, working in Family Planning. She later served the community for over 22 years at Physicians for Women in Hot Springs, working under the highly respected Dr. Brenda Powell. She continued her work at the Heart Center at St. Joseph Hospital, where she worked under Dr. Heineman. Following the transition of the Heart Center to Mercy, she later retired after her time with First Step in Hot Springs, where she found great joy in working with children—bringing her career full circle to where her passion for helping others first began.
Sandra was known for her compassion, strength, and dedication to helping others. Whether through her profession or her personal life, she made a lasting impact on those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Bessie Samuel; her son, Michael Glen Hildreth Jr.; her daughter, Mesha Michelle Hildreth; her former husband, Michael Glen Hildreth Sr.; her brothers, Stacey Samuel Sr. and Sterling Samuel Sr.; her sisters, Naomi “Rocky” Johnson and Dora Batts; and her sister-in-law, Adrian Hildreth.
Sandra is survived by her son, Gregory Craig (Katie); her granddaughter, Kierra Hildreth; her grandchildren, Affinity and Amadeus; her sister, Mary Smith of California; her brother-in-law John Craig and sister-in-law Patricia Patterson; and a host of extended family members and loved ones.
Sandra was taken from us far too soon in a tragic and unexpected circumstance, leaving a void that can never be filled. While our hearts are heavy, we hold on to the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the faith she carried.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, Gross Funeral Home, with a service provided at 6:30 p.m.
A private family burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday May 8, 2026, at Crestview Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Services will be provided by Mr. Chad Newell.
The family asks that you continue to lift Sandra’s soul in prayer, that the Lord receive her into His eternal kingdom, and that the Holy Spirit bring peace, comfort, and healing to all who mourn her passing. Though she is no longer with us in this life, we trust in God’s promise that she now rests in His presence, where there is no sorrow, no pain, and everlasting peace.
