Sherry was wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend in an extended family she loved and cherished. Her nieces, April Wilkerson and Amber Young, will remember being taught how to make tater tot casserole and Sherry’s deviled eggs -which were a staple at any gathering. But mostly they will remember, as will her brothers, David and Jonathan Ragsdill, her generosity of spirit and willingness to share all she had. Her children, David (Eva) Giles and Lane (Rae Faughn) Giles; grandchildren, Benjamin and Teagan, know how every meal, every call, every hug was full of her whole heart. She loved them all so much.
Sherry had 26 years of love, family and friendship with her husband, Jimmy. They grew up, raised their children, and made a home- together. Evenings were often spent listening to country music, having a beer, and cuddling up to chat about their day. Nothing was more important than their family or their time together.
Sherry’s strength, warmth, love, and kindness were some of the reasons she was considered the anchor of her family. Her love was not limited; she loved all of her fur babies, too - Stripy, Jitter, Henrietta, and Sam. She was predeceased by a Lulabell, a very spoiled Siamese kitty.
The family thanks everyone who has supported them these past months and especially after Sherry’s passing. It meant so much to have everyone come together and lift them in up in such a difficult time.
