Thomas N. “Tom” Cofer, MD, FACP, 77, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was born August 13, 1937, in Marion Illinois to Thomas and Elsie Cofer. Tom was a US Air Force veteran and an Internal Medicine Physician. He enjoyed sailing, flying, and was an avid reader. Tom was patient, kind, and devoted to his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Arthur Cofer. Tom is survived by his best friend and the love of his life for 20 years, Dianne Cofer, of Hot Springs; sons, Tom (Amy) Cofer, of Bradenton, Florida; Graham (Nickie) Cofer, of Venice, Florida; Jeff (Jeanie) Cofer of Riverview, Florida; daughter Angela (Ronnie) Douglass of Sheridan, Arkansas; and grandchildren Ryan (Marissa) Douglass; Morgan Atwell; Savannah, Alexandra, Ross, Jenna, and Madison Cofer; sister-in-law Jean Cofer Ireland; nephews Brett (Allison) and Bryan Cofer.
