William A. Nicely, 94, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
He was born May 4, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
A devoted husband and a loving father has left this world to be with his heavenly father in Heaven and join those who have preceded him in death, his parents Roy & Margaret Nicely and his brothers Earl, Allen, Gene and Bob.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific campaign.
After his discharge he returned to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he met and married his wife of 73 years, Jeanette.
He spent many years as a Big Brother tutoring those less fortunate. He also was a Scout Master for over 25 years, where he was awarded the Silver Beaver for his accomplishments in mentoring young men.
He leaves behind his wife Jeanette; son Ron and Debbie Nicely; daughters Brenda Hanwright and Margie and Don Hamlin; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
What a joyous reunion that must have been in Heaven to be reunited with his family. As for those he left on this Earth, when our time arrives another celebration will be had in Heaven. We Love You.
