Andre' M. ""Spike"" Beverly, age 51, a resident of Franklin, La., died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 3:45 PM., in Baldwin, La. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, LA., 1101 Main St. The viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, with services to follow at 10:00 AM. Andre will be laid to rest at St. Jules Cemetery in Franklin, LA. Andre Michael ""Spike"" Beverly was born on July 25, 1961 in Franklin, LA. He attended Franklin Senior High School and along with his brother, Stanley Pierre Beverly, integrated Hanson Memorial High School. Andre's life work centered on being a mentor and servant of the community. His service and undying dedication was personified through working with organizations and groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Drug Court, Magnolia Peace Officers, Franchise Entertainment, Security, Acadiana Open Channel, Traditional Restaurant and Pecot Park Restoration Community. Andre's relentless efforts to help others will live on in the memories and hearts of loved ones and friends. Andre was preceded in death by his brother Stanley Pierre ""Chip"" Beverly; and his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Andre is survived by: parents, Stanley and Isabella Beverly of Franklin, LA; sister, Monique (Danny) Francis of Franklin, LA; two daughters Amber Short of Lafayette, LA and Taylor Beverly of Baldwin, LA; son Andre George (Jasmine) Beverly of Lafayette, LA; step-daughter Meagan (David) Mitchell of Franklin, LA; three grandchildren Kamron Short, Kristian Guillory, and Anya Jackson; three nieces Courtney Walters, Brandi Beverly-Brothers, and Chassidy Walters; two nephews Danny Francis, Jr. and Shylon Francis; and a host of relatives and friends.
