Anita Denise Matthews, 52, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 3:15 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 549 Andrew Street, Houma, LA 70364. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery. She is survived by: her parents, Thelma and Alfred Matthews, Sr.; two sons, Wendell C. and Ernest C. Matthews; one daughter, Courtney L. Matthews; two sisters, Shewanda L. and Catina M. Matthews; one brother, Alfred, Jr. (Karen) Matthews. She was preceded in death by: one sister, Dana Marie Matthews; maternal grandparents, Mary and Stanley Davis; and paternal grandparents, Evalina and Robert Matthews.
