Annie Mae Hanzy Johnson

Annie Johnson, age 60, a resident of Houma, La., and a native of Gibson, La., died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Terrebonne General Hospital at 11:05 AM. Annie was a retired Home Health Aide from Gulf Coast Family and Teaching Service. Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at St. James Baptist Church in Gibson, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial in the St. James Cemetery in Gibson, La. Annie leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Don Jerome Johnson of Houma, La; her mother, Lorenia Johnson Hanzy of Gibson, La., one son, Bryant James Johnson and grandson, Devonte Stovall both of Houma, La; four brothers, Elijah (Cheryl) Hanzy, Jr., and Lionel (Shelia) Hanzy, Sr., both of Gibson, La., Nathan (Joyce) Hanzy of Gray, La., and Claudel (Sylvia) Hanzy of Thibodaux, La; two sisters, Mrs. Cornelius (Louise) Joseph and Mrs. Clarence (Orelia) Turner both of Gibson, La; a brother-in-law, Roland (Carrie) Owens, Jr., and father-in-law, Roland Owens, Sr., both of Gibson, La., and a host of relatives and friends. Annie was preceded in death by her father, Elijah Hanzy, Sr., two brothers, Charles Wellington Hanzy and Alfred Lee Hanzy, and a sister, Annie Lee Pratt.
