Archie Ellis, Jr.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Sunlight Baptist Church, 952 Bull Run Road, Schriever, LA 70395 from 9:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow funeral services in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Schriever, LA. 

Memories off Archie will forever remain in the hearts of his father, Archie Ellis, Sr.; his mother, Mary Scott and her husband, Isaac Scott, Sr.; one son, Archie Ellis, III and his wife Carmella; three daughters, Tanjila Brooks, Mariah E. Metoyer and her husband, Keyon and Naquissa Winis and her husband, Melvin; two sisters, Cassandra Ellis and Yvette Scott; seven brothers, Charles Ellis, Lionel Ellis, Joseph Ellis, Glen Scott, Isaac Scott, Jr., David Scott and Micheal Cooks; fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Archie was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnnie Ellis and John Scott and a sister, Beatrice Scott; paternal grandparents, James Ellis, Sr. and Mathilda Ellis and his maternal grandparents, Luben Clement and Mary Spot.
