Ava Marie Washington

Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 8:00 AM until funeral time at 10:00 AM at Morning Star Baptist Church 101 Brule Rd., Thibodaux, LA 70301. Burial will follow at Saint Peter (Morning Star) Cemetery. 

Memories of Ava will forever remain in the heart of her husband, Gary Burnell Washington, Sr., and sons; Gary Burnell Washington, Jr., (Suella) and Jaydon Paul Blackledge. Brothers; Lionel James Owens, Jr. (Michelle); Darrell Paul Owens (Lorey) and Troy Jacquot, stepbrothers; Michael Johnson; Lawrence Ellis, Jr.. (Carolina); Curtis Ellis; Glen Ellis (Judy); Steven Ellis; Mitchell Ellis (Fiancé Dorothy).  Sisters; DeJaun Jones Nixon, Demtria Hayes (Herman), Paulette Williams; stepsisters; Deborah Henning (Tim); Brenda Moore (Oscar): Beverly Mason (Ray) and two grandchildren; Payton Alexis and Jalyn Elise Washington. Godchildren; Tierre Grammer, Janay Edmond and Lauren Owens. 

Ava was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel James Owens, Sr. and Elouise Skidmore Owens. Brother; Donald Frye; grandmother, Carrie Williams; great grandparents, Willie and Viola Williams and in-laws; Willie Washington, Jr., and Eula Pearl Washington.
