Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 6775 West Park Avenue in Houma. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons Tyrone Woolens Charles and Jody Woolens Charles (India); five grandchildren; brother, Edward Alexander, Jr. (Thelma); sisters, Ella C. Verrett (Arnold, Jr.) and Delphine Charles; godchild, James Smith, III; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Woolens, Sr.; parents, Edward Alexander, Sr. and Eleiones Charles Alexander; sisters, Mary Lee Charles and Yolanda Bias.
