A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S Hollywood Road in Houma. Burial will follow in the New Rising Sun Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his devoted cousins, Betty Johnson and Trina Williams; caretaker, Jerelyn Radford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Gray Douglas; paternal grandparents, Freddie, Sr. and Helen Willis Douglas; maternal grandparents, Royal, Sr. and Rose Diggs Gray; paternal great grandparents, Eloi and Amelia Douglas; maternal great grandparents, Hanny and Elizabeth Williams.
Bruce was a substitute teacher for the Terrebonne Parish school system; a correction officer with the Terrebonne Parish Juvenile Detention Center; and a US Army Veteran.
