

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Cheralyn Coleman, who left this world peacefully on March 24, 2025, surrounded by her family. Cheralyn was born on July 21,1980, and was the youngest of five children to Veralyn Chapman Coleman and the late Will Coleman.
Cheralyn battled renal failure from the age of 12, enduring years of medical challenges with
incredible strength, grace, and resilience. Despite the hardships she faced, Cheralyn always maintained a smile and an infectious energy that touched everyone who knew her. Her beautiful spirit and unwavering positivity were a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her.
Cheralyn is remembered for her kindness, her sense of humor, and her remarkable ability to make others feel loved and valued. She fought a good fight, showing courage and determination throughout her life, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cheralyn is survived by her mother, Veralyn Chapman Coleman; her four siblings; Kevin
Coleman (Laura Coleman), Bruce Coleman, and Dana Coleman (LaTanya Coleman). Cheralyn also leaves to mourn a sister, Doris Allen (Hayward Allen), from her late father, Will Coleman, who she loved dearly. She had many nieces and nephews that she cherished and considered her own, along with extended family members and friends. Her legacy of strength, love, and joy will continue to inspire all who loved her.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 29, 2025 at Saint Luke Baptist Church 3755 Bayou Black Drive Houma, LA 70360. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Cheralyn’s family is comforted by the knowledge that her spirit will always remain in their hearts.
