

First Lady Debra Ann Pierre Williams, 68, a resident of Franklin, LA and native of Charenton, LA, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 17, 2021 at 7:28 PM at Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church 104 10th Street, Baldwin, LA 70514 from 8:00 AM until a Musical Tribute beginning at 10:00 AM. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM with her husband, Pastor Ivory Williams, Sr., officiating and Bishop Doreen Francis, co-officiating. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). First Lady Williams will be entombed in the Mausoleum Section of Franklin Cemetery - Main Street.
Memories of First Lady Williams will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Reverend Ivory Williams, Sr. of Franklin, LA; her children, Ivory (Mariah) Williams Jr. of Franklin, LA, Aaron Paul (Tiffany) Williams and Rashonda (Tellis, Jr.) Matthews both of Sunset, LA; four grandchildren, Ivory (Vaneicia) Williams, III, Zion Michael Williams, Kortlan Javon Williams, and Jarian P. Matthews; her siblings, Lois P. Toussaint and her husband Paul Jr., Carol Pierre Lockett, Nina P. Martin her husband, Calvin all of Charenton and Virginia P. Madison of Baldwin, LA; an uncle, Willard Pierre of Charenton, LA: devoted friends, Reverend Idella Fontenot and Bishop Doreen Francis; adopted sister, Diane Collins; dear friends, Conrad and Eliza Collins; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Williams of Morgan City, LA and Clarence (Louise) Williams of Franklin, LA: one sister-in-law, Lillie Ruffin of Morgan City, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
First Lady Williams was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Heaven Matthews and Nhadya Simone Matthews; parents, Edvin and Idella Pierre; brothers, Edwin Pierre, Anthony Pierre, and George Marshal Pierre; sisters, Joyce Pierre Weber, Mary Catherine Pierre Ellois, and Dorestine Mae Pierre Jackson
