He is survived by his wife, Joycelyn Hamilton Griffin; one grandchild; brother, Dan and Anthony Griffin; and sister, Bobby Kay Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Frank Griffin; parents, Mike and Catherine Harris Griffin; brothers, Mike and Sterling Griffin; and sister, Kitty Griffin.
