Gayle Johnson, age 56, a resident of St. Martinsville, La., and a native of Morgan City, La., died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Medical Center of Southwest La., in Lafayette, La., at 11:33 AM. Service pending. GAYLE leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Clifton Jones of St. Martinville, her father, Alvin (Margie) Johnson of Morgan City, La., a daughter, Keysi Melancon of Lafayette, La., three sons, Primos ""PJ"" Johnson, Kenneth Johnson and Jamal Gray all of Lafayette, La., five brothers, Kevin E. Johnson (Angela), Keith J. Johnson (Chorriss) and Kimberlyn Johnson(Taren) all of Patterson, La., Kenneth M. Johnson (Monkia) of Germany and Donald Phillips (Dolores).five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lee Phillips, her grandmothers, Gertrude Singleton and Margaret Phillips; her grandfather, Richard Singleton, and aunts, Doris Ann Chenevert and Lena Mae Garrison.
