Geraldine Griffin

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA from 9:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM.

Memories of Geraldine will forever remain in the hearts of her two daughters, Mary Ann Griffin of Morgan City, LA and Mona (Charles) Walker of Lafayette, LA; a grandson she raised, Nigel Irvin LaGarde of Berwick, LA; eight brothers, Marvin (Barbara) LaGarde of Davenport, IA, Eugene LaGarde, Robert LaGarde, and Julius LaGarde, III all of Houma, LA, Warner Johnson of Berwick, LA, Charles (Cleo) Johnson of Shreveport, LA, Lawrence (Rose Mary) Johnson of Patterson, LA and Horace (Mary Marie) Johnson of Lafayette, LA; seven sisters, Ethel Mae Griffin, Juanita Collin, Charlotte (Joseph) Thompson, and Iona LaGarde all of Houma, LA, Linda Strawder of Berwick, LA, Debbie A. Johnson of Patterson and Gail L. (Walter) Lagarde-Green of Baton Rouge, LA; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Griffin, Sr.; maternal and paternal grandparents,  her son, Johnny Griffin, Jr.; two daughters, Paula Lagarde and Betty Griffin; her father, Julius LaGarde, Jr. and his wife, Julia Mae V. Lagarde and her mother, Ara Mae Strawder-Johnson and her husband, Jeffery Johnson, Sr.; her siblings, Junius LaGarde, Berwick LaGarde, Antione LaGarde, Jeffrey Johnson, Jr., Wardel Johnson, Mary Ann LaGarde, Maggie Deal-Milton, Mary Nell Johnson-Allen, and Coretha LaGarde.
