Geraldine Matthews

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the First Jerusalem Baptist Church 835 Monnot Rd. Jeanerette, LA 70544, from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 1:00 PM. with Reverend Arthur Lee Alexander officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery of Jeanerette.

Cherished and divine memories will forever be remembered by her husband, Lionel Matthews, Sr. of Jeanerette, LA; one son, Lionel Matthews, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA; three brothers, Warren Alexander, Sr. (Lillie Mae) of Texas City, TX, Alvin Alexander (Earline) and Rev. Elijah Alexander both of Jeanerette, LA; two sisters, Doretha A. Misher (El Paso, TX) and Ella A. Sutton of Jeanerette, LA; four grandchildren, Gregory L. Clavelle, Jr., Sydney Clavelle, Micheal Lewis, and Lionel Matthews, III; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie W. Alexander; one daughter, Mary Beth Matthews-Clavelle and three brothers, Raden Alexander, Allen Alexander, Sr. and William Alexander, Jr.
