Gus Bowie, Jr., age 81, a resident of Baldwin, La., and a native of Calumet, La., died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Dauterive Hospital at 11:20 PM. Visitation will be Monday, February 11, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Baldwin, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Gus leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Ezora Reed Bowie of Baldwin, La., two sons, Gus Bowie, III of Jeanerette, La., and Gregory Bowie of Baldwin, La; two daughters, Demis Romar of Baldwin, La., and Donika Bowie of Jeanerette, La., and one adopted daughter, Destiny Bowie of Baldwin, La; two brothers, Alton Lewis of Franklin, La., and McKinley Bowie of Houston, TX; three sisters, Drucella Bowie of Berwick, La., Jane Bowie and Geraldine Bowie both of Franklin, La; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
