Gwenette Faye Darby, age 46, a resident of Franklin, LA., died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 5:40 AM at her residence. Ms. Darby was employed as cashier at a local convenience store & restaurant. Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, LA., from 8:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the New Providence Cemetery in Centerville, LA. Ms. Darby leaves to cherish her memories; her father, Louis Joseph Darby of Franklin, LA.; a sister, Dominique Diggs of Centerville, La; two god-children, Kendra Louis and Marlin Ruffin both of Franklin, LA.; two aunts, Joyce Louis of Franklin, LA. and Jeanie Darby of Verdunville, LA.; five uncles, Ronnie Louis of Baldwin, LA., Irvin “Bum” Louis of Centerville, LA., Lynwood Darby (Judy) of Patterson, LA., Isreal Washington (Lillie) of Bakertown, LA., Wesley Louis (Louella) of St. Martinville, LA., and a host of relatives and friends. Gwenette was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Washington-Darby.
