Hanson Joseph Theriot, Sr.

Hanson was a U. S. Army Veteran. 

Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 11:00 AM until funeral time at 1:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360.    (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.)  Burial at Deweyville Cemetery. 

Memories of Hanson will forever remain in the heart of his wife, Rosa Ramirez Theriot. His loving friend, Valerie Johnson. Sons, Hanson Theriot, Jr., and Wahi Harris. Stepsons, Kevin Harris (Darlene), Dion Harris (Tawanda), Darrin Harris (Trisha) and Marco Theriot (Shermita). Daughters, Michelle Theriot Ward (Ronnie), Raquel Theriot and stepdaughter, Charnell Johnson Randle (John). Brothers, Earl Theriot, Jr., (Artemise) Donald Theriot, Vernon Theriot (Ruth), Dwight Theriot (Johnnie), Gerald Theriot (Ethel) and Kirk Theriot (Sharlene). Sister, Janet Theriot Owens, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. 

Hanson was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Theriot, Sr., and Myrtle Butler Theriot. Companion, Cheryl " Sis" Harris and her parents, Maria and Percy Harris.  Son, Ricky Nelson and brother, Tyrone "Putt" Theriot. Grandson, Ajani Animashaun and stepdaughter, Shirlyn "Deedie" Johnson. Two sisters-in-law, Petra Ramirez Lowe and Bernice Ausama Theriot. Cousins, Carrenda "Rhandi" Jeffery and Hank Theriot. Aunt, Cleo Theriot Powell.
