

Howard Terrell August, age 36, a resident of Lake Charles, La., and a native of Four Corners, La., died Monday at his residence. Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Crossing Place, Northwest Blvd. Franklin, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Sorrell Community Cemetery. Officiating, Pastor Jerry Snider. Howard Terrell was born August 17, 1975 at Franklin Foundation Hospital to Mr. And Mrs. Howard and Linda B. August in Franklin, La. Terrell as we all called him, attended Franklin Senior High School, then went on to further his education at Grambling State University. Go Tigers! He later attended LTC of Lafayette, La where he completed courses in barbering, he went on to receive his License from Louisiana State Board of Barbering. After receiving Christ in 2002, he was Baptized at Little Zion Church in Verdunville, La., by Elder Walter Stansberry. Terrell was a very loving person with a huge personality. His beautiful smile, warm bear hugs, and great sense of humor was one that would leave a lifetime impression on you. His love for people was exemplified by the way he lived his life. Terrell had a personal relationship with God. He did not believe in condemning the lost, but rather loving them to Christ. His life memories will be treasured and cherished by his loving wife Waletta Stansbury August and one son, Terrell Howard August both of Lake Charles, LA; His loving parents, Howard and Linda B. August and Grandmother Wilhemina P. August all of Four Corners, La; three brothers, Marlon (Renee) August of Lafayette, LA; Brian (Patrice) Gilliams of New Iberia, LA; and Kentrell Lewis of Four Corners, LA; four sisters, Melinda H. Fontenette, and Shantelle August both of New Iberia, LA., LaQuandra Lewis of Austin, TX., and Tia Conner of Four Corners, LA; devoted father and mother-in-law, Mr. And Mrs. Walter and Mary Stansberry of Verdunville, LA; God parents Dorric and Kenny Middleton. Four godchildren, Le'Tay'zia Brown, Alex Mathews, Mya Drexler, and Le'zay'lon Brown, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Howard C. August, a Mr. And Mrs. Cleveland and Eula C. Brown.
