Indernetta C. Gilbert, age 47, a resident of Jeanerette, La., died August 11, 2011 at 1:45 PM at her residence surrounded by her family. A Home going Celebration will be held for Mrs. Indernetta C. Gilbert, known to all as ""NET"" the former Indernetta C. White, on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at First Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jeanerette, La., from 8:00 AM until funeral at 1:00 PM., with Elder Donald R. Lanceslin, Officiating. She will await the resurrection at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette, La. A gathering of family and friends will be at the church on Saturday at 8:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Indernetta leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Glenn Gilbert, Sr. of Jeanerette, La; her fathers, Clifford Marks of Jeanerette, La., and Chester (Laura) Gibson of Franklin, La; four sons, Dwight White of New Iberia, La., Glenn Gilbert, Jr., Brandond Gilbert and Jakeem Lively all of Jeanerette, La; one daughters, Centrelle Lively of Jeanerette, La., and a special grandchild who was like a daughter, Shundericka August of Port Arthur, TX; three brothers, Warner (Liz) Colbert of Broussard, La., and Frank (Donyelle) Colbert of New Iberia, La., and Alton Gibson of Franklin, La; two sisters, Lolita C. Layton of Lafayette, La., and Felicia M. Williams of Houston, TX. Net also leaves to cherish her memories her mother-in-law, Joyce Richard of Jeanerette, La., one god-child, Quentin Gilbert of Jeanerette, La., two special friends, Lisa Richard and Ingrid Prince; god-mother, Emma Lewis; nine grandchildren and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda White Marks; grandparents, William (Joyce) Gibson, Ivory White, and Peter (Mary) Marks; father-in-law, Abraham Richard and god father, Robert White.
