James Edward Johnson, age 51, a resident of Amelia and a native of Independence, La., died Wednesday, Aug 25th at his residence at 4:40 AM. Visitation will be held at Pilgrim Grove Baptist Church, Saturday, Sept 4th., 9:00 am UNTIL funeral at 11:OO AM. Burial will be in the Union Bethel Cemetery. James was survived by, his wife, Julie Jones Johnson of Amelia; his parents, Walter & Annie Johnson of Natalbany, La., a son, Joshua Dontrell Johnson of Amelia; two daughter, Stacy Wysinger of Michagan and Tiara Johnson of Amelia; four brothers, Walter Johnson, Jr., Rosevelt N. Johnson, Samuel Johnson and David Johnson all of Natalbany, La; one sister, Julia Johnson of North Carolina and a host of family and friends.
