He is survived by his children, James R. Jones, Jr., Sharon Jones Smith, Darryl Jones and Theresa Jones; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Carolyn Jones Spike; and two siblings.
