Jerry Charles, Sr., age 72, a resident of Morgan City, La., died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 4:16 AM at Teche Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic in Morgan City, La., from 8:00 AM until funeral at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery. Jerry leaves to cherish his memories; his companion, Monica Johnson of Franklin, La; four sons, Jerry Charles, Jr., and Theiring Charles both of Morgan City, La., Paul Charles of Verdunville, La., and Glen Jones of Patterson, La; a stepdaughter, Demetria Johnson of Franklin, La; three sisters, Ms. Margaret Gibson of Morgan City, La., Ms. Idell Oprien of Houma, La., and Ms. Delores Henderson of Baton Rouge, La; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
