Kenneth "Ken" Morrell Gunner, Sr.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Triune Church of God In Christ from 9:30 AM until the beginning of funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Supt. Donald Lanceslin, officiating, with military honors following services. Entombment will immediately follow the services in the Franklin Cemetery- Main Street Mausoleum Section in Franklin. 

Ken leaves to cherish his memory two sons, McKevha Gunner Johnson of Hopkins, Minnesota and Kenneth Morrell Gunner, Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas; grandchildren, Brittnee Denyse Gunner of Houston, Texas, Kenneth Morrell Gunner III of Pflugerville, Texas,  and Jayden Amaury Gunner of Port Arthur, Texas; brothers, James Chatman of Opelousas, Louisiana, Nolan Chatman (Leola) of Baldwin, Louisiana, sister, Mary Carr of Franklin, Louisiana; a aunt: Eura Mae Gunner Williams of Verdunville, Louisiana; devoted friends,  Raymond Thomas, Sr., Herman "Skeeter” Briggs, Joyce Johnson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will forever love and miss him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Lucinda Griffin Gunner and Issac Ike “Erison” Gunner; paternal grand-parents; three sisters, Edna Jackson, Georgia Barkey, and Harriet Spain and his two brothers, Clarence Chatman and McCaster Chatman.
