Lawrence J. Jackson, 77, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 3:50 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at Morning Star Baptist Church of Johnson Ridge on Saturday, August 24, 2013. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Livas Cemetery. He is survived by: his wife, Ruby Livas-Jackson; two sons, Kevin (Muriel) and Joseph Francis (Yvonne) Jackson; three daughters, Shirley J. Smith, Celeste Jackson, and Rachel (Vernell) Williams; one sister, Delores Jackson; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jeffrey and Palestine Harris-Jackson; son, Jeffrey Smith; and brother, Clarence Jackson. Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
