

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Greater New Salem Baptist Church located at 818 Lafayette Street in Houma. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 230 St. Charles St. in Houma. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Leonard Scott, Jr., Kentrell Mahoney-Scott, and Tylenn Scott; daughters, Valarie Saulsbury (Lloyd), Carlette Scott, Lyn Fair (Johnnie), Monica Broughton (Kenneth), Raeven Scott, Lila and Liza Thomas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; parent, Lawyer Williams, Sr.; brothers, Arthur Bishop (Rose), Lawyer Williams, Jr., Melvin Williams (Melinda), and Michael Williams (Paula); sisters, Annalee Franklin, Patricia Lawson, Enola Westley, Duann McKenzie (Jessie), Bertha Lawson (Sherman), Karen Williams, and Laura Coleman (Kevin); devoted cousin and business partner, Elward Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Ann Scott; grandson, Willie Scoby, Jr.; parents, Helen Madison Williams and Junius Scott; brother, Raymond Scott; maternal grandparents, Frank, Sr. and Gladys Madison; paternal grandparents, Lucille Johnson and Elliot Scott.
