

A public walk through viewing will be conducted from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing with the recommendation of signing the registry book, viewing and exiting). Service will be held with Pastor Allen R. Randle, officiating. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc Facebook Page at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday September 5, 2020. Levy will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery - Main Street with full military honors.
Levy was a veteran of the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge.
Forever treasuring the memories made with him are: his wife, Rose M. Boykins of Franklin, LA; two sons, Gregory Carl Boykins of Lake Charles, LA, and Levonne D. Johnson of Franklin, LA; four daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Tarleton of Jeanerette, LA, Carla (Terry) Johnson and Felicia (Irvin) Walker all of Franklin, LA, Tiny Batiste of St. Martinville, LA and an adopted daughter, Georgette Coleman Evans of Irving, TX; sisters, Dora Lee Cooks of Franklin, LA, Marietta Johnson of New Orleans, LA, and Mary B. Miller, Betty Boykin, and Barbara Boykins all of Houma, LA, and Rosa Lee (Fred) Miller, and Mary (Anthony) Miller both of Gray, LA, and Patricia Ruffin of Dularge, LA; brothers, George (Marjorie) Small of Franklin, LA, and Lawrence Boykins of Houma, LA; four step-children, Angela Johnson, James Johnson, Jr., Antoine (Pamela) Johnson and Shon (Gitana) Johnson; dear friend, Jeremy Smith; special niece, Vanessa Ina; his goddaughter, Kiara Thomas; twenty-one grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Levy was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Boykins, Sr., and Celestine Small; four sisters, Marguerite “Yiyee” Ina, Rosa Bilbo, Lille Mae Williams, and Bertha Williams-Stewart; three brothers, Rogers Small, David Williams, and Joseph Boykins and his grandson, LaShon Johnson.
