Lou Ethel Johnson, 70, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 4:57 p.m. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery. She is survived by: five daughters, Debbie, Marilyn and Roxanne Johnson of Houma, LA, Shandelle J. Morgan and husband Tory of New Orleans, LA, and Tracy J. Short and husband Allen of Hutto, TX; one siser, Rosalie Woodward; two brothers, Cornelius and James Carvin; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, James, Sr. and Lou Ethel Robinson-Carvin; three sisters, Lucille C. Brown, Heloise Carvin and Augustine Peters; brother, James Carvin, Jr.; and granddaughter, Da'Quetta Johnson. Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
