Mark was born to Jimmie and Barbara Prater on July 18, 1970 and he was called to our heavenly Father on February 11, 2023. Everyone who knew Mark knew him as a fun and loving person. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Mark was a huge Pittsburg Steeler Fan. Everyone will miss his morning or evening text. He was talkative at times and he had a friendly personality. Mark's journey took him many places. He was a hard worker and worked 17 years at Sub Service Tool and later at Walmart until he fell ill on 2012. Mark loved reading especially his BIBLE for GOD was his LORD and SAVIOR.
Mark leave to cherish his memories; his father, Jimmie Prater, his three sisters, Marilyn (Gregory) Chenevert and Beverly (Joseph)) Howard of Morgan City, LA., and Jayne Prater of Franklin, LA; a brother, Michael W. Prater. His nieces whom he truly adored. Ms. Olivia C. Martin, Tiffany, Latoya, Allison, Kelsey, Jayla, and Mila; his nephews, Gregory Chenevert, Jr., Clyde, Montit, Michael, Jr.; seven great nephews and nieces, two great great nieces and nephews, five aunts, a great aunt, family and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his lovely mother, Barbara H. Prater and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
God saw you getting tried and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". A Golden Heart stopped beating hard, working hands at rest. GOD broke our hearts to prove to us HE only take the best. Love you DAD, Sisters and Brothers.
