A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at New Rising Sun Baptist Church located at 230 St. Charles St. in Houma, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Lewis Williams; sons, Destry L. Williams and Chase Lieteau; daughters, Melissa Lieteau and Kimiko Williams; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Joseph Williams, Jr., Bobby Williams (Joyce), Gregory Williams, Michael and Willie Falls (Ada); sisters, Juliette Williams, Veraniece Williams, Tanya Myles and JoAnn Pollard (Joe).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Geraldine James Williams; brothers, Robert Lee Williams, Edward Charles Williams and Andy Williams, and Robert Gasery; sister, Barbara Williams; maternal grandparents, Ozelin and Hattie James; and paternal grandfather, Freddie Williams.
