Wilbur Abraham

Wilbur Abraham, age 87, a resident and native of Charenton, LA died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 12:15pm at Iberia General Medical Center following a long illness. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. All members of 10016 Jackson Henry VFW Post are asked to attend and wear your cap. Service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton, LA from 10am until funeral time at 2pm. Burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Godfrey officiating. Survived by his wife, Thelma Abraham of Charenton, LA, a sister: Leola Batiste of St. Martinville, LA, a daughter: Isabella (George) Burrell of Bossier City, three sons: Bruce Abraham & Herbert Abraham both of Charenton, LA, Marvin (Pam) Abraham of Fontona, CA, four stepsons: Ronald (Corvetta) Valler of Baldwin, LA, Marshall (Faye) Bell of Franklin, LA, Jacob Bell, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Albert Bell, Sr. of Lynwood, CA, one stepdaughter: Cynthia Bartley of Charenton, LA. Twenty two Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren, A sister-in-law and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two wives, a son, and three brothers.
