

Adrian Otis Kemp was born in Houston, Texas on January 23, 1958, to Vivian Handy-Kemp and Edward Kemp Sr. Adrian, the fifth child of seven, attended Forest Brook High School where he played football and excelled at academics. He graduated in the Class of 1976. After graduation, Adrian briefly attended college before deciding to enter the United States Army where he earned various medals and certificates. Adrian completed his service and returned home to work for North American Moving and Storage Company.
Adrian loved spending time with family and enjoyed delicious home cooked meals. During family functions, he was often found at the table, playing dominoes or a game of cards. Adrian loved to laugh and enjoy good times. He delighted in waiting all types of sports, and if there was not a good game
on, he enjoyed watching Westerns and scary movies. During his down time, Adrian loved to fish, freshwater or saltwater; he enjoyed the quiet reflection and catching dinner. Adrian possessed fierce love for his children, throughout the years, he provided unconditional support and love in his own way.
Adrian Otis Kemp transitioned to be with the Lord on June 7, 2025, at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Handy-Kemp, his father, Edward Kemp Sr., two sisters, Gabriella (Gabe) Kemp Risher and Amanda Leah Davis, one brother, John Harold Kemp, and a brother-in-law Billy Risher.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Carolyn Woodley Kemp, two daughters Shontadria Kemp (Las Vegas, NV) and Andrea Nicole Kemp (Austin, TX), two grandchildren, Kaila Spicer (Austin, TX) and Sebastian Spicer (Denver, CO), three brothers Edward Kemp Jr. (Connie) (Sheridan, TX), Fabian Idlebird (Houston, Tx) and Leslie Idlebird (Houston, TX), sister-in-law, Barbara Woodley-Mayo (Frank) (Humble, TX), and brother in law Frederick Woodley (Martha) (Grand Cane, LA), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
A visitation for Adrian will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The committal will held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
