

Alben Charlie Kwiatkowski, 84, died unexpectedly on February 7, 2017. Alben was born on February 8, 1932 in Brenham, Texas to Stephen and Stella Kwiatkowski; they preceded him in death as did his brothers Fred, Alex, and (Baby) Stephen Kwiatkowski. Mr. Kwiatkowski faithfully served his country in the United States Army. Alben retired from Blumenthal Sheet Metal Company after over 30 years of dedicated service as the shop foreman and was a proud member of Sheet Metal Local 54. He was a spiritual man, involved in his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteer at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Alben is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Bernardine (Diehl) Kwiatkowski; his daughters, Debbie (Kwiatkowski) McKaskle and husband Randy, Karen (Kwiatkowski) Thomas and husband Craig, Diane (Kwiatkowski) Benavides and husband Kenneth; sons, David Kwiatkowski and wife Sandra, Alben Charlie Kwiatkowski, Jr. and wife Oxana. Mr. Kwiatkowski was also the proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren; Kristie, Ashley, and Lauren McKaskle; DJ, Nicholas, Sam, Disney and Zak Kwiatkowski; Kaitlin and Caroline Thomas; Evan Benavides, Audrey and Elizabeth Kwiatkowski. Alben is also survived by his 5 great-grandchildren; Abigail Chandler, Celeste Kwiatkowski, Joseph Kwiatkowski, Olivia Kwiatkowski and Everlee Kwiatkowski. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
