Alberto Mendoza Mendoza

Alberto Mendoza Mendoza, loving husband and father was also known as Beto or El Once to his friends and Dr. Mendoza to his students and colleges. Alberto dedicated his career as a veterinarian to the care of all species of animals specializing in exotic and large animals. Throughout his life Alberto traveled to four continents and nearly every county in Latin America. He had a passion for cooking and would often show his love to friends and family by hosting gatherings and meals. Alberto was a dedicated and loyal fan of the Texans, Astros, Dynamo, and Mexican National Soccer Team. He also disliked Club America and the Cowboys. Alberto was in his ‘mero mole’ or true element when he was cooking, soaking up sun at the beach, fishing, and listening to Classic Rock or Rock en Español. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched through the care, generosity, and love he showed his children, students, and animals he impacted. He will be missed.

Alberto is survived by his wife, Lucy B. Mendoza; his son, Alejandro T. Mendoza; his daughter, Jennifer Elena Mendoza; his beloved dog Tex; and grand-cats Pepe and Earl Grey.

Alberto was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Mendoza Martinez, and his mother, Dolores E. Mendoza Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087, US, on March 25, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087, US, on March 25, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
