Abdul Aziz Moosavi made a life by giving all his faith to God and to his adoring family. He was born on June 22, 1933 in Hendijan, Iran to Sograh and Majid Moosavi. Mr. Moosavi passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family on November 27, 2021 at the age of 88.
One of his greatest sources of pride during his lifetime was his cherished partner, soulmate, and love, Ghamar, whom he remained devoted to for 65 years of wedded bliss. Abdul Aziz and Ghamar had five children: Mary, Mehrdad, Masi, Ali, Mehrzad; 6 grandchildren: Nima, Tina, Aria, Cole, Grey, Masi; and 3 great-grandchildren: Kameron, Ryan, and Mason. He is survived by all except for his daughter, Masi, who tragically preceded him much too soon. A profound loss from which Mr. Moosavi never truly recovered.
As the eldest of the family, Mr. Moosavi supported his parents and paved the way for his five siblings by starting to work at the tender age of 13 for Iran National Oil Company in Mahshaher. During his tenure, he held several admirable positions there and simultaneously obtained a Technical Diploma at the Abadon Institute of Technology, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at the Petroleum University in Abadon, Iran in 1956. Subsequently, he was recruited to join Mother Cat company headquartered in Scotland, United Kingdom. Mr. Moosavi worked there for 7 years as an area manager and then in 1967, he joined Bredro Price International, an American company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Mr. Moosavi worked as a liaison between the company and the foreign governments handling a multitude of projects and staff.
His success in the workplace was only paralleled by the success in his personal life. Mr. Moosavi was the epitome of an ideal family man. As he solidified his career to support his entire family, he was committed to ultimately securing their future. Therefore, he persevered through perilous obstacles to bring his family to the United States for a more fulfilled life. A more fulfilled life is what they got.
For this, the family will forever be indebted to the pioneer and patriarch, Mr. Moosavi. He has physically left the Earth, but his legacy and love will endure past the many generations, which he built. It is only that love, remaining in our hearts and souls, that will sustain the grief and devastation we feel today. It is only that love that will bring us closer together, as we always have been… as he exemplified.
There will never be another Abdul Aziz Moosavi. He always sported a dapper style with his signature suit and tie and flashed the most sincere, contagious smile wherever he went. He embodied purity and kindness, so much so that he left an everlasting impression on anyone who was lucky to know him. He gave of himself to others, without expectation of it being reciprocated. There aren’t enough words to express our love and admiration for Mr. Moosavi but we will eternally be grateful for his time here with us. Abdul Aziz Moosavi was… is in the words of Nat King Cole: “UnforgettableIn every way
And forever more
That's how you'll stay"
