Alfred R. Giron, beloved husband, grandfather and great-grandfather went home to the Lord on July 19, 2020. Born in San Antonio to Inez Rangel and Alfred Giron, he will now be reunited with them along with his two brothers, Pete Trevino and Robert Trevino and is survived in death by his sister, Yolanda Trevino Garcia (David). Alfred volunteered to join the Navy and was honorably discharged in December of 1962. He was a hard working, loving, strict, funny, family oriented man and will be truly missed. He married Juanita Cortez Giron on September 4th, 1960 in San Antonio, TX, and they had five loving children; Sylvia Marie Kennedy (Clyde), Mary Ann Smith (Odis), Alfred John Giron, Rachel Giron and Peter Giron (Lisa). He is survived by his eight grandchildren; Colleen Kennedy (Michael), Cole Kennedy, Zoee Giron (David), Amber Smith, Melissa Saenz (Noe), Amanda Limon (Chris), Julie Giron and Joshua Giron. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren; Selena Kathryn Gutierrez, Andrew Saenz, C.J. Jones, and Issac Saenz. He had an extended family who will truly miss him and loved him, all of his nieces and nephews will love him for eternity. Alfred will never be far from our hearts and minds as we are reminded every single day of the love he had for his family. He loved his Knights of Columbus brothers and loved the Catholic faith. Alfred blessed his children and grandchildren with the love of cooking and to be close to family as you possibly can. We will deeply miss this amazing man in our lives and will forever hold the blessed memories of his wisdom, courage and determination to keep going even when things got hard.
