He was born in Brownsville, TX July 11, 1928 to Alfredo Rodriguez, Sr. and Juanita Rodriguez. He was one of 14 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez. He graduated from El Jardin High school and immediately after enlisted in the Marines. He served as a Marine in the Korean War from 1948-1951, during which he was awarded a medal for good conduct and services. He was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal. He is survived by his wife Josefina Rodriguez to which he was married to for 57 years and his children Miguel Rodriguez, Maria Borja, Yolanda Rodriguez and Laura Sanchez. He was predeceased by his daughter Belinda Rodriguez who was his oldest daughter. He has 17 grandchildren and 20 great grand children.
Alfredo was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a friend of a friend. All who knew him loved him. He would help anyone in need even if it meant putting his own needs aside. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and will remain forever in our hearts. He will be laid to rest at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
