Alida Hollingshead Webb

Alida Hollingshead Webb passed away on the Tuesday, the 10th of January 2023, in Houston. She was born on the 6th of March, 1942 to Mildred Youngstedt and Paul Henry Hollinghead in Norwalk, Connecticut. She was 80 years of age.

Alida spent her formative years in El Paso, Texas. Following graduation, she subsequently taught in the El Paso, Richardson, and Spring Branch school districts. A long-time member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, she served in several capacities including Mission’s Chair for the vestry, as a reader and chalice bearer, and as a mentor for Education for Ministry (EFM).

She is predeceased by her daughter, Amy Randall; and survived by her husband of 60 years, John Michael “Mike” Webb.

A memorial service is to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 24th of January, in the sanctuary of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston, where The Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson Jr., Rector, is to officiate.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Alida’s honor may be directed to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road, Houston, TX 77056.
