Allen Carl (Bill) Ennis

ENNIS, ALLEN CARL (BILL) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 17, 1928, in Port Arthur, Texas, to John Benjamin and Fannie Mae Lyons Ennis. Allen is survived by his wife of 36 years, Georgia Gene Ennis, his son, Allen C. Ennis of Wichita, Kansas, and daughters, Carla Grenvall and Kelly Ennis, both of McKinney, Texas, as well as four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family with Georgia which includes his stepchildren, Fred Thompson, Roy Thompson, Ollie Ginn, Reneè Hendrix, and Tina Hall, twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, August 5 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home–Cypress Creek. The funeral service will be held at The Fellowship at Fieldstore, 30402 F.M. 1488, Waller, Texas 77484, on Monday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor John Chivvis officiating. Graveside services with honors will be held on Tuesday at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Fellowship at Fieldstore Benevolence Fund in Allen’s name.
