Alvin Ritchey Brooks

Alvin Ritchey Brooks, 36 passed away suddenly in his home January 21, 2012. Born August 3, 1975 in Cincinnati, Ohio his family moved to Texas when Alvin was a small boy. He was a true Texan at heart, and a long time resident of Katy, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Giovanna, daughter, Karissa, sons Carrick and Karson, his father Ritchey Brooks, mother Donna Brooks, sister Mariah Wilson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed and his passing will be mourned both family and friends.

Alvin was a self-made successful businessman who owned and operated “Air You Go A/C and Heating “. A devoted husband and father he helped coach the Cross Point Football league. He was an active sportsman who enjoyed football, dove hunting with his devoted dog, Jax, and fishing whenever possible. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, helpful demeanor and smile along with his loyalty and commitment to his many long time friends and his devotion to his family. Alvin, you are greatly missed!

A memorial service will be held at Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church. 6035 S. Fry Rd., Katy, TX. on Friday January 27, 2012. Family will receive visitors at 10am and service will begin at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the family at Wells Fargo Bank c/o The Alvin Brooks Memorial Fund, account # 7116982872. These funds will be used for funeral expenses and to provide for his children during this difficult time.
