Amado Bustamante Alvarez

Amado Alvarez went to be with his Lord on April 25, 2017. He was born May 2nd, 1935 in Louise, Texas to Ventura and Petra Alvarez. Mr. Alvarez was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Rose Alvarez; parents; and sister, Susie Aguilar.

He was survived by three brothers, Antonio Alvarez, Albert Alvarez, Ventura Alvarez Jr.; eight children, Patsy and Richard, Adela and Fidel, Mary and Pete, Amado Jr. and Margaret, Irene, Abel, Arthur, Leonora and Steven; former wife and mother of all his children, Leonora Torres; twenty-eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, Richard Jr., Melanie, Angelina, Stephanie, Michelle, Melissa, Cassandra, James, Audra, Micheal, Anthony, Christina, Manuel, Pete Jr., Amado III, Joseph, Micheal, Alicia, Andre, Leslie, Abel Jr., Kristi, Princess, Kayla, Kc, Steven Jr.; forty-six great grandchildren, Isaac Jr., Kelly, Alexander Jr., Alexis, Eric, Dulce, Sophia, Aria, Abel Jr. Andrew, Aaron, Evan, Elizabeth, James Jr., Jacob, Fabian, Mark, Freddy Jr., Micheal Jr., Megan, Matthew, Anthony Jr., Noah, Ben, Ava, Angela, Adrian, Alyssa, Azalea, Cesar, Raymond, Arianna, Ariyah, Andres, Nieko, Linayah, Leelan, Isiah, Fernando, Adrian, Steven III and eight great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Alvarez as a child enjoyed playing lots of baseball. He worked many years for Trees Company as a machine operator and later employed for Lands Conservancy and retired after many years. His interest revolved around his family, friends and pets with morning walks at the local park where he would meet his walking buddies, visiting his family, close friends and by mid-day retire home and enjoyed the company of his pets. He is a Beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Friend who will be missed dearly.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM; and a funeral service Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
