

Amal Kaldas, a beloved, faithful, selfless, and gentle soul, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on November 9, 1937, in Egypt, Amal lived a life marked by deep compassion and unwavering dedication to those around her.
Amal was the daughter of Anwar Kaldas and Zahiya Mitri. Her upbringing in a nurturing family laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to her community, faith, and family.
Amal shared 29 cherished years of marriage with her husband, Girgiss Sarkiss. Together, their family grew being filled with their daughters Manal Sarkiss and husband Atef Nazir, Dr. Mona Sarkiss and husband Omar Aboudaher, and Mira Sarkiss and husband Emad Shenouda; their grandchildren Dr. Michael Shenouda, Mariam Shenouda, Janna Aboudaher, and Laela Aboudaher; her siblings Bahig Kaldas, the late Amir Kaldas, the late Balsam Nashed and the late Elhami Kaldas; her sisters-in-law Nadia Nazir, Sally Kaldas, and Nadia Kaldas; her niece Dr. Pauline Kaldas and husband Dr. TJ Anderson; and her nephews Michael Nashed, Timothy, Johnathan, Daniel, Adham, and the late Usama Kaldas.
The funeral service for Amal Kaldas will be held at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church of Houston, located at 424 Mulberry Ln., Bellaire, TX, with the service beginning at 10:00 am on September 9, 2025.
Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Tx 77077 at 12:00 noon.
Amal Kaldas will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her gentle spirit and selfless service to others.
